Learn about the importance of design-thinking in a fun, one-hour crash course at The Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity (The Hive) to prepare for the upcoming Sparkathon! The Sparkathon planning team will answer any questions you may have about the competition, judging, ideating process, and more.

Fred Leichter
Executive Director | The Hive
Fred spent 25 years at Fidelity Investments in Boston, most recently as Senior Vice President of Design Thinking and Innovation, where he also designed Fidelity’s first website in 1996. Fred has also been a lecturer and fellow at the Stanford d.school, where he taught a range of classes such as “Designing with Data,” “Designing for the Law” and “Project Joy.” Fred is also active in the sport of curling and coached his son’s team at the World University Games in Almaty, Kazhakstan last year.
Seth Weissman
Lead Strategic Designer | BCG Digital Ventures
Seth Weissman is a leader in design research and strategy, focused on extracting the core needs of end-users. He joined BCG DV shortly after its founding, in 2014. He takes an illustrative approach to story-telling and delivering unique and engaging user experiences. Seth has 10+ years experience in creative services for digital and mobile development at BCG Digital Ventures, MySpace, FOX Mobile Ent. and FOX Interactive Media.
Christina Tong (PO '17)
Associate Product Manager | Google
Christina is an Associate Product Manager on Google's Augmented Reality Platform, ARCore, and previously worked on Google's products for small and medium businesses. She graduated from Pomona College in 2017 with a computer science major and politics minor. On campus, she served as Student Body President and co-founded the Claremont Barbell lifting club.
